Clonard College was Established in 1956 to cater for the population
growth in Geelong at that time, Clonard is situated in Geelong West.
It began with six students and now provides education for girls
from Years 7 to 12 for about 660 girls.
Operating as a school of medium size enables each student to be
personally known and valued. The quality of the pastoral care offered
at Clonard is recognised as a major strength of the College and
helps facilitate the successful completion of secondary education.
Clonard offers:
A broad, challenging and comprehensive curriculum incorporating
a Teaching and Learning program covering all key learning areas.
Recent developments have allowed expansion of the opportunities
offered to students in the performing arts, design and technology
areas.
A wide selection of VCE subjects and co-operative arrangements with
the three other Catholic secondary colleges in Geelong Pastoral
Care programs that monitor and support each student.
Additional curriculum programs including reflection days, instrumental
music, debating, public speaking, a comprehensive range of sporting
programs, special needs and extension programs, community service
and camps.
Faith Development Programs based on Christian values Teaching and
learning programs that cater for all ability levels and supported
by a team of teachers and teacher aides who work in the Special
Education.
Department Emphasis on Pastoral care of students within a safe and
