“Women Disciples of Jesus Christ: Bearers of Reconciliation” was the theme of the Union of Superiors General (UISG) Plenary in May this year. In the fractured world we live in, reconciliation seems to be God’s call to all of us. A great sign of hope is the fact that so many groups and people are concerned about reconciliation and peace-building, not only those who think in ‘spiritual terms’ but also the scientists of our day who speak of relatedness as the organising principle of the universe.
